The first game of three played last week was between the homestanding Panthers, and the Clarke County Eagles. Despite Mike Carter’s 12 points and Gary Leake’s 11-point effort, the J. V. Panthers^ were downed 62-36 by the J. V. Eagles.
Seven points on foul shots in the final minutes caused the Varsity to go down in defeat to the Eagles 73-65. Those taking scoring honors were: Brooke Miller, 20 points; Aubrey Frye, 19 points; and William Carter, 12 points.
Friday night, both squads fell in defeat to the visiting Central Falcons. In a game that was marred by fouls, the Little Falcons took a win over the Little Rapps 48-35. Gary Leake, the newest starter in the line-up, took high scoring honors with 12 tallies.
The Varsity squad slid to the Falcons 71-55. Leading the team in scoring were Aubrey Frye and William Carter, with 13 and 12 points respectively.
Saturday night, the Panthers traveled to William Monroe High School. Panther fans who traveled to the game had the pleasure of seeing the Varsity trounce the Green Dragons. Trailing by one point going into the third quarter,
