The campaign will kickoff with a number of community-sponsored events surrounding local tbod in the five counties.

Holder Tmmbo will hold a “Meet the Farmer Day" on May 10 at his IGA in Marshall. Attendees can enjoy samples of Fauquier County homegrown food and farm products, while local farmers share stories and answer questions. On May 17. people can stroll through the Warren ton Farmers Market, tasting samples of and learning about Fauquier County's homegrown food and farm products from Extension Specialist Matt Benson.

On Friday; June 6. the Partnership tbr Warrenton “First Fridays in Warrenton," will include a farmers* market on Main Street. At the Fauquier County Fair this July 13. attendees can sit down for a “Blue Ribbon Dinner." a meal comprised of almost all locally produced food.

Proponents of the campaign tout a handful of masons for why consumers should buy locally, starting with taste and freshness.
