Next Wednesday, May 21, the Rappahannock County Garden Club is inviting everybody to come to the Washington Fire Hall to attend its 2008 Flower Show between 3:00 pm to 4:00 p.m. A labor of love and ... well, love... The RCGC Flower Show - while not quite on the same scale as the Philadelphia Flower Show - is a nice little show that will have at least 36 different flower arrangements (all with a theme) and many horticultural specimens at their prime. All the exhibits will be judged (behind closed doors, mind you) by accredited judges from the Virginia Federation of Garden Clubs, with ribbons to various levels of winners.
The last time, the RCGC put together a flower show was in 1999 - so we really, really want you to come by. Why? For one, if you like flowers and are looking for inspiration for your arrangements, you will get some terrific ideas for both
