May 17-18^ Rappahannock Relay
for Life
The pre-Relay activities begin with campsite set-up and registration for those not pre-regi stored at 4 p.m. at the Rappahannock County Elementary Schooi. Cancer survivors ae encouraged to register at the reception area around 4:00 pm. even if they are not on a team. The official opening ceremony will begin shortly afterwards, ft will be followed by the Survivor Walk. It is not too late. Contributions made before 11 pm. on the night of the Relay will be counted towards the competition tor highest amounts raised by teams and individuals. However, funds submitted after that deadline win still count towards the Relay’s total. The dosing ceremony is at 8 am. on May 18. Four local favorites take the stage at the BB&T Center tor the Performing Arts May 17 at 7:30 pm. 'Shining Lights of Luray' features Esteia Knott. Christopher Jenkins, John Jennings and Pops Walker
John Jennings is a longtime member of Mary Chapin Carpenter’s band and resides in Page County. Esteia Knott grew up in a bi-lingual household in Luray. Virginia. Her music is inspired by a biend of North American, Latin American and African influences.
Christopher Jenkins graduated from Page County High School n 2003 and is currently a student of Washington luminary Larry Smtrter. Pops Walker retired m Page County from the military in 2003 and brought his acoustic Southern Fned Zen Mojo with him. He is a frequent performer on the PAL stage, and is a great supporter of PAL! 'The Vault.* PAL’s cash bar, will be open.
