The search for a new principal for Rappahannock County High School is nearing an end with applications received from as far away as California.
School officials have narrowed the search to four applicants, some of whom are from the local area.
Some 32 applications had been received by the deadline Wednesday, according to Assistant School Superintendent Becky Greer.
She declined to name the applicants, but she did say that “some of the local applicants are among the top contenders.”
The next School Board meeting is July 8; however, there “may or may not be a selection at that time” said Greer.
