“go back to the drawing board,” said Greer in an interview.
When asked what the start date for the new principal is, Greer said “as soon as possible.”
An open forum was held at the high school June 24 conducted by Superintendent Robert Chappell and Greer. It was a forum for parents, staff and students to express what qualities they would like to see in the next principal of RCHS.
There were some 30 participants in the forum, consisting mostly of parents. All who spoke seemed to agree on the same qualities.
“We need to have someone that wants to stay in the position and who truly has the students' best interest at heart,” said Amy Hitt of Amissville.
Most participants in the forum would like to see someone local in the position.
They also would like a principal who respects the _ students and parents as well as a strong leader.
