Linda White, a diabetic patient from Warrenton* had the new monitor attached Monday ‘Is it on yet?* she asked, saying she felt no pain from the insertion of the sensor. Diagnosed with diabetes two years ago. White is hopeful that the new monitor will help her avoid insulin shots.
“Tm more anticipatory than anything. I want to see what the data is and then work to change it so I don’t have to go on insulin/ said White, who is currently measuring her blood sugar through fingerstick readings and using diet, exercise, and oral medication to keep it in check.
