News Stuff Writer Rappahannock County High School senior Austin “AJ” Collins. 16, is going to Washington, and just might get to meet President Obama. Collins is one of two student representatives selected to represent Virginia as part of the U. S. Senate Youth Program. The program - established in 1962 - selects two outstanding students from each state and the District of Columbia to “spend a week in Washington experiencing their national government in action.” The selection also includes a $5,000 scholarship award far each of the student representatives.
