fin spite of the bitter cold twepwahms and the wind on Sunday the Christmas parade was still a sacwss with downs- of colorful parade entries and floats, totes of horses. llamas. dogs and even camels and a chicken.
It was a great day ail around tor evei-yune. The Avon Halt grounds- were abura with activity as- the intrude coordinator; Denise Chandler. lined everyone up.
The staff of the Rappahannock Nows would like to thank two special people from the community. John Clark for the generous use of his hay trader again this year and to Bryant Lee for using Ids Kubota tractor to tow our float smoothly with out dumping anyone off the back. They both came through for us again.
Winners
Trustcn Morrnh and Darlene Moore were the winners of the beautiful gingerbread snowman and snow lady raffled on Sunday at the Washington Baptist Church Brunswick 5>tew/ Christmas Chili fundraiser lunch.
The deliciously decorated gingerbread creations were made by Marten Northrop of Rockville. Md. She is the mother-in-law of Rev. Phil Bailey. All who came had a wonderful meal and great fellowship.
