Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Sophia will open their IGA Foodline r Store on 'rhursday, Doc. tif. The store is located in the Lea building in Washington. Workmen hung the store sign Tuesday.
Miss Judy Burtner of Augusta County has accepted a position as Extension Agent. Home Economics, in Rappahannock County and will assume her duties here the Bret of the new year. She will till the position which has been vacant since the resignation of Miss Diane Breen in duly.
Panther stalwart Bobby Settle uses his height to advantage as he clears the boards of another rebound as the Rappahannock squad opened its season last Wednesday night at Elk ton. The Panthers made it a victorious debut as they overcame an early Elk lead to claim a &M>3 decision. Wayne Deal and Settle were high scorers tor the winners.
