to represent us in the national legislative body. We should expect them, and we have a right to expect them, to be present at all sessions, unless detained on other official business, such as committee meetings etc. lint we can not expect them to be present in nit* halls 01 congress, if we insist upon , them being present at community functions back home. It is always pleasant to have congressmen visit the folks back home, and a certan amount of it is desirable, to main tain contact with the general public. HovveVer, there is a limit to the number of visits a congressman can make home and still do an effective job in Washington. It is not our purpose to be critical of the congressman, but rather to point out the inability of the congressmen to be in two places at one time. We, the people, should recognize the 1 unusual demands upon our representatives at this session of congress especially, and not expect them to do the impossible. We need all the brains in Washington available and exhort the people to be considerate of the congressmen.
