Before the timing device is installed, we .suggest that speed limits be well posted showing the legal speeds on the various streets. Where lower limits are advisable, plain, well defined signs should be posted. Another suggestion. A study should be made on the approaching roads and high ways to be certain that the speed limits now posted are reasonable and practical. We make these suggestions because we were hauled into police court in Petersburg several years ago, and fined for exceeding the speed limit in a 25 mile zone.
