Mt. Zion Preaching services are held at Mt. Zion Baptist church every Sun day at 11 a m., with the exception cf the fifth Sundays. Rev. J. R. Hodges pastor, is preaching a series of sermons on "The Seven Sayings on the Cross.” M Sgt. and Mrs R. Curtis Boat wright were week end guests of Mr. and Mrs. J N. Putney en route to Fort Bragg. N. C.. after spending a mouth in Springfield. Mass., where Sgt. Boatwright took a rifle school course. While on the north east coast they visited friends in Providence. R I., and Hartford. Conn. Mrs. Emma Hudgins visited Misses Mary and Louise Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Anderson and Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Anderson. Mrs. A, B. Jones, and son, Joe. and Mrs. Robert Earl Bryant visited in Fairfax and Washington, D. C . last week. Mr. Bryant, who has been taking a course at American University, returned home with them.
