Charlotte School Head Retiring; McGhee Moves I p Robert Willis Bobbitt, superinten dent of schools in Charlotte county for the past 3? years, recently an nounced his retirement effective July !. 1957. Grant O. McGhee, principal of Randolph-Hcnry High School, was named by the Charlotte County School Board to fill the position of school superintendent. Bobbitt, a native of Warrenton, N. C , served as principal of the Keysville Elementary School for three years before he left the county to become principal of Tazewell and Graham High Schools in Tazewell county. He returned to Charlotte in 1925 and has served as superinten dent of schools since that time. McGhee also came to Charlotte county after serving as principal of Tazewell High School. He was at Tazewell for five years, having previously held similar positions ir Roanoke county. McGhee is a graduate of Saltville High School; holds an A B, degree from Emory and Henry College; a M. A degree from Duke University and has completed additional gradu ate work at William and Mary Col lege and Duke University Mr. McGhee and his wife, the former Ann Hogan of Charlotte county, live at Charlotte Court House.
