Assembly Programs

We have had good assembly, programs this fall -but there are two that have stayed in our memory longer. ; v
The senior English class under the direction of Mrs. Miller gave , a varied program consisting of some educational talks, music, and a quiz program.
Mary .Karland Firicham pointed out in her talk the characteristics of a teacher and the advantages
jof the teaching profession.
■Gladys Reid made an impressive rpeeA-entitled “The Hour of De. cision.” (She emphasized the importance of choosing the right vocation and also included in her~talk the outstanding points to he considered in choosing journalism.
Gladys Reid, in the- role of mistress of ceremonies in the quiz program, added a lot of amusing,
remarks ^which brought laughter' ]

7*he F.F.A. boys of Washington and Sperry vil!e, under the direction of Mr. Wagnet, presented a Womanless Wedding. The boys participated whole-heartedly, giving -much entertainment to the high school and their visitors, the • seventh grade. When Edwin Scroggins became the bride of Wiley Allan Gentry, Billy Holmes as the jilted sweetheart buret into tears -of despair.
