Grand jury cases to be presented by the Commonwealth Include that of stated perjury against Joseph Mahoney and Raymond Mahoney; another a charge of maiming against George Turner, colored of Flint Hill, charged" with felonious shooting of Joseph J&affdletnn; and the ease ofiRoberf Fincham for the murder of Mrs. Terry Sisk.
The case of Cecil Loveless, Lovell Loveless, and Elvin Ledie, now lodged in jail, who waived a preliminary hearing in grand_ jury and pleaded guilty to the Ncharge of feloniously breaking dnd entering the store of Walter Mills. * /•Civil cases include that set at last court of Marie George against Adolph Lorch and M. H. Eglin for . damages as a result of injuries received in an auto accident on March 4, 1848. The judge sets the docket Monday for all others. The grand jury consists of H. S. Barksdale of Flint Hill; Floyd Compton of Washington; C. M. M. Green of Amissville; G. L. Taylor of Sperryvlle; Robert Russell (colored) of Flint Hill; H. G. Wayland of Sperryville; and P. M. Finks of Peola Mills.
November Court is usually a big one. Since court day is - the second Tuesday and falls bimonthly, it means this is the first time it has jjonvened since July,*' ' September being vacation ^ At the time when heating aas .a problem in the Courthouse* the/ . vacation was in January, but since the remodeling of the building, vacation has returned to the old “apple busy season” when folks couldn’t get away from work too ~ readily.
