‘‘The Tattler,” a publicationsuperlative was maneuvered by four enterprising citizens: Mary Campbell, editor, and Frances and Louise Miller, and' Miller Price.
The printng was • done in the basement of the publication’s chief benefactor, one W. C. Campbell. Hts high position was maintained by reason of the fact that he .furnished gratis all necessary printing equipment — hectograph *'■' and paper the size of a letterhead.
The charm of these masterpiecs is excelled only by its wit—sometimes more than obvious. .. - An ‘‘Extra” came put on Sat-. urday, September 17, 1938, on the occasion of the burning of the barber shop. (To date, no serious reason can be located as to why this issue was an “Extra” since all publications were on Sat- , - urday, as that was the day. the * youthful editor and reporters were not incarcerated in school.)
