The following notice is published upon request of Mayor Dorothy C. Devi* of Washington, concerning the cleaning of enow -from the sidewalki:"Municipal
Code of Town of Washington, Virginia.
"Adopted April 4, 1946.
Chapter XII. Section 63. Removing Snow and Ice.
Tenants living in or conducting, business in premises abutting on the streets, the sidewalks of which have been paved, shaM be required to remove all snow from the pave, ments on a line with their premises within 24 hours after it has fallen."

Warren Hospital Opened
To Public Yesterday
.A simple ceremony was holdyesterday afternoon at 4.30 for the opening of the Warren Memorial Hospital, Inc., in Front RoyaL
Monday, January 1, 1951 has been set by the Board of Managers for the transfer of patients in Front Royal Community Hospital to the new Warren Memorial Hospital. The new hospital, located in the former “Rose Hill Park," in a grove of stately trees, fronts on Shenandoah Avenue, between West 9th and 11th streets.
The ceremonies attending the opening were without ostentation and were intended to give the public an opportunity to see and inspect the magnificent building, carefully planned and constructed in accordance with the most modern and approved requirements for hospitalizaition, and its up-todate equipment for the relief of suffering and the cure of disease.
This humanitarian institution has been made possible by the gifts of hundred of residents of Front Royal, Warren county, and the adjacent area, and it is hoped and expected that all of these, and many others, would visit the new hospital during the opening inspection and see the concrete result of their combined gifts.
Open 'bouse was held from 2 o’clock in the afternoon until 8 o'clock at night. Volunteers, representing 39 community organizations, were on hand to serve as a reception committee, under the supervision of Craig . Livingston, hospital administrator. The pieces of ^equipment were all labeled, descriptively, to inform visitors of their specialized use.
