The presses start rollibgiomor*ow at the corner of Main and Middle streets in Washington-:— rolling down to the new location, of the printing office on Main, street, next to Watts’ Barber and Beauty Shop, across hte street from the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wade H. Massie, Jr.

The new building is located on Lot No. 1<3, according to the map of the town of Washington, which, was surveyed by “The Father of Our Country” (until someoab proves he didn’t). In a proud place on the wall of the new office will hang a framed copy of the map of the town, presented to Rappahannock News by F. Clyde Baggarly.

The new building, of cinderblocjc construction, was built by Paul A. Walker, local contractor. It is fireproof throughout, with concrete floor and steel sash windows. The new location will have no more actual square-foot spece than is in the present location, but the arrangement is much better for a printing shop and office. The present location, on the corner, was formerly a residence and was also the location of the Cherry Tree and Hatchet, famous restaurant. What made very convenient quarters for a restaurant was not so convenient for a printing plant. The new building of the printing plant was built to fit the machinery and add to easy working conditions for a printer.

-Sometime during Friday the phone will be disconnected and moved to the new office. If you wish to get a message to the News office during that time, eithjer Payne Motor Co. or Merrill Motor Co, will deliver it by calling across the street and catching one of the printers “on the mov^.”

of tne toothache! The machinery is awkward and heavy. Solne of it is top-heavy, and some is -just plain heavy. Superman would be a welcome guest at Rappahannock News this week end.
