Garden Club Meeting

, Mrs. James M. Settle of Flint Hill was hostess to the joint meeting of the Rappahannock and Flint Hill Garden Cubs on Wednesday afternoon, February 18.

Mrs. L. J. Turner, president of the Rappahannock dub, presided with ten members present Mrs. John J. Miller and Mrs. W. Arthur Miller were guests.

Highlights of the meeting were: To hold a flower plant sale in May after danger of frost. Mrs. W. R. Williamson will donate pansy plants to be sold at an earlier date. Mrs. E. M. Jones was elected as the second "life member" of the club, Mrs. Lucio Kilby being the first

Mrs. E. R. Browning, vice president of the Flint Hill dub, presided over the meeting. Mr. Beecher, landscape architect of VPI, gave a priming and lecture demonstration, using one of Mrs. Settle’s boxbushes for the demonstration.
