He has been in service since August 1951. Mrs. Havanna Jeffris entertained at dinner Sunday, February 22 in honor of her birthday. Her guests were Mr. and Mrs. Promrpy Brown, Miss Louise Middleton of Washington, D. C., Mr and Mrs. Joseph Holland and Mrs. Alice Porter and son, "Duck." Mrs Lily Holland has returned from Washington, D. C. where she visited her son-in-law and daughter, Rev. and Mrs. Ellis Turner. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Brooks and daughters of Washington, D. C., Miss Peggy Brooks of Happy Creek and Brice Brooks of.Front Royal were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. mid Mrs. John M. Barbour.
Charles Hunter of Washington, D. C. was a week end guest of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Hunter. Mrs. Hattie Jackson has returned home after being in New York with her sister, Mrs. Nan Haney Warner, who is verjr ill. Mrs. Jackson was accompanied by her son, Pete Jackson. On her way home Mrs. Jackson was accompanied by her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Wigington and son, Johnnie Jr., of Burke.
