Harrison Schedules
Visits For Saturday
Representative Burr P. Harrison will visit a number of Rappahannock County communities on Saturday, March 7, for informal talks with ' citizens. As on previous trips through coun- < ties of the Seventh Congressional District, Mr. Harrison will stop at the post office in each community to give residents opportunity to make known their views on public questions. In addition, he will try to assist in personal matters involving agencies of the federal government He points out that, as a member of the U. S. Congress, he does not have jurisdiction over such local problems as schools and roads. Rappahannock communities not visited on Saturday will be placed on Mr. Harrison’s itinerary for a trip later in the year. His schedule folows: 9:00 ajn. Huntly; 9:15 a.m. Flint Hill; 10:00 a.m. Amissville; 10:40 a.m. Viewtowp; 11:00 a.m. Estes; 11:20 a.m. Castleton; 12:00 noon Woodville and 12:45 p.m. Slate Mills.
Fire Companies Answer rails
The Sperryville Volunteer Fire' Company answered two calls in the past week. On Sunday the company fought a brush fire for three hours before it was extinguished. This fire was just back of Swiss Chalet and could have been most disastrous. The second call was at 7 a m.
