Seniors Attend
Baccalanrette Sermon
Members of the graduating class of the Rappahannock County High School, wearing the traditional scholastic caps and gowns, attended their commencement religious service in the high school auditorium at Washington, Sunday evening at 7:30 o’clock.
The graduates entered the auditorium by a traditional hymn. The congregational hymns were “Faith of Our Fathers,” and “Sun of My Soul.”
The Glee Club, directed by Mrs. Paul Nichols and accompanied by Mrs. George Taylor, sang “Create In Me A Clean Heart, O God,” by Carl F. Muller.
The baccalaurette sermon was delivered by the Rev. A. Paul Thompson.
CORRECTION to
The name of Edward Franklin Hawkins was omitted from the list of high school graduates in the paper last week- The heading of the story said 29 graduates and only 28 were listed. The News regrets the error.
BUFFET SUPPER
Miss Louise Schwartz entertained at a buffet supper at her home on Wednesday evening honoring Mr. and Mrs. Paul Nichols, who have recently returned from their wedding trip. Those invited were Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Wood, Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Wint frey, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schaefer, Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Kilby, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bruce, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Fletcher, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Groseclose, Mr. and N^rs. John Davis, Mr. and Mrs. George L. Taylor, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Estes, Mr. and Mrs. J. Rodes Brown Jr., and Nick Cascio.
