President Tear enumerated the following assets of the Department: A nearly completed masonry 2-floor firehouse constructively valued at $12,000; two fire engines; 2,500 feet of 2i and inch firehose; an electric siren audible for several miles; including other miscellaneous assets, all totaling perhaps $15,000.
On the liability side was only about $2,000 in unpaid bills and other debts, but the department treasury still had about $1,000 in cash to take care of them, and department events together with auxiliary aid is expected to more than meet the balance.
