Funeral services" for Mrs. Luttrell were held at 2:30 p.m., June 8 in the Amissville Baptist church with interment in the church cemetery.
The Rev. Louis Broughman, former pastor of the Amissville Baptist church, conducted the services in the absence of the regular minister, Rev. Harold Carder, who is sick at his home. The choir sang the following requested hymns: “Will The Circle Be Unbroken,” “Sweet By And By,” and “Shall We Gather At the River.”
The many beautiful floral tributes and the large crowd that attended her funeral attested to the high esteem in which she was held by her many friends and members of her family.
Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Gilbert H. Dennis of the home address; a son, Burrell Mohun of New Orleans, La.; one brother, Robert Franklin Jeffries of Arlington; and a granddaughter, Landra Hopkins Dennis.
Active pallbearers were George Paytes, Joseph Jeffries, Will Hughes, Elliott Doyle, William Bywaters, Weedon Armstrong, Graham Hackley and Everett Stover.
Some of, the out of town people who attended the funeral were Dr. H. B. Luttrell and family of Pulaski; Mr. and Mrs. D. R. Luttrell and Mr. and Mrs. George Paytes of Arlington, Mr. and Mrs J. A. Luttrell and Miss Mary Hughes of Richmond and Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Leavell of Staunton.
