In addition to this, $16.40 was raised by Jtaking a collection for “Old Hoi— low” at. a 4th of July party for the children and young people of Sperryvile at the home of Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Kilby. This collection represents the donations of between 65 and 70 children.
Work done this year includes bulldozer work on the pool and banks by Ralph Pullen directed by Mrs. L. J. Kilby and Mr. Camp, area water safety director for the Red Cross, who happened to arrive on the scene as work was in progress. S. E. Hening has erected additional benches between trees and joined Mrs. Kilby and Bobby Stuart in cementing stones for a fireplace^ Poison ivy and other weed pests were sprayed last week with a week-killer. The work Is expected to continue for some time.
