skull, one of the oldest fossils ever. I’m informed that if you ask about the First Peking Man skull, you will be told it was that of a woman and was the thicker of tne two. (Don’t ask me how I know what you’ll be told “if you inquire”.)

If you fall asleep while sun-bathing, you have my deepest sympathy. I belong to the cult who agrees with that little saying about “mad dogsand Englishmen.”
At a tender age (both in number of years and condition of hide) I went to the beach. It was a cloudy day and a cool wind was blowing. We went swimming, we went boating— and since there was little sun, we thought not of the consequences. When the sharp wind hit, we would roll into the water and warm up (thereby accomplishing what was known as “basting” to a cook). At the end of the day I was well done.
The next three days and. nights were sleepless. I sat on that portion of my anatomy which faced south when I faced north; I could sleep on the north-facing side, provded I hung arms -and chin over sides and end of the bed.
