He laid down His life voluntarily because He loved us and took it up again that we might* overcome the world in Him.
He says, "My sheep hear my voice and I know them and they follow— me.” This is ,a real test of Christianity: Are we really following* Christ or some/other person. It is so easy to follow a person and completely loose sight of Christ. He knows whether y6u are His and He has also given us the assurance that we can al- > so know that we are His. He says, "His sheep know His voice and follow Him.” Also He has given us many other assurances in His word as to how we can know whether or not we are saved. One of these references is I John (5:13. R.V.) "But these are written that ye may know that ye have eternal life, even unto you that believe on the name of of. Son of God.” Won’t you let Him become your Shepherd today?
