Pvt. F.; DvjCoffey, Jr., who has completed his basic training at Camp Gordon, Ga., came Sunday for a furlough with his mother, Mrs. F. D. Coffey before reporting on March 6 at Fort Eustis Va., for his next * assignment. Mrs. Coffey, who has (been in Jackson, South Carolina with Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Dennis and her brother, Maynard Nethers in order - to visit her husband often, also returned at the same time.Mr.
and Mrs. Robert F. Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Wayland and son of Portsmouth were week-end and holiday guests at “Barlow,” the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Gore and Mrs. Helen Bruce. On Saturday, Mrs. Brown and her mother, Mrs. B. R. Wayland, Mr. and Mrs. Wayland and son, visited Mr. and Mrs. Jack Wayland in Culpeper. On Sunday evening Mr. and Mrs. Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Wayland and son were supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. Earl Wayland.
