Cpl. Jimmie Hawkins, who has been serving iij Germany with the U. S. Army, has returned to the home of his grandmother, Mrs. Bertha Hawkins. B.*Johnson, Miss Gladys Brown and Donald Highlander of Culpeper were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Johnson to celebrate the 85th birthday of their mother, Mrs. John H. Johnson.

Mrs. J. H. Filling, Miss Nellie Johnson, Mrs. R. H. Carder and Miss Catherine Orange were Culpeper shoppers Friday.

Mrs. Carl Elkins of Tabb and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Smoot were guests of Miss Arizona Elkins and George Elkins on Sunday.

Miss Dollie Hite, who has been with Miss Mary Stark and Miss Virgie Stark for sometime, left Sunday for Richmond.

Mr. and Mrs. George Bowman II and son, and Jon Anthony Bowman, of Boones Mill were week-end guests of Rev.'and Mrs. George Bowman III.

Mr. and Mrs. K. H. Quasebarth were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs.' ‘Joseph Pauze, Sunday.
