Air Force Notice For Former Airmen
Former airmen who held jobs in any one of more than one hundred Air Force Specialities are now entitled to re-enlistment consideration according to a statement released yesterday by S/Sgt. Hawker A. Greathouse, U. S. Air Force Recruiter for Rappahannock County. , Sgt. Greathouse cited growing shortages within the Air Force in these career fields as the reason behind a recent change in Air Force regulations which permits certain airmen to re-enlist in the grade formerly held as Jhuch as six months after discharge. In the past, all airmen had to re-enlist Within three months of discharge to retain their rank.' ' Sgt. Greathouse invited all former airmen in this area to drop in to see him in his office at Post Office in Washington, any time between 1 KX) and 2 KX) p.m. every Thursday to determine if they are eligible for re-enlistment under the provision of this regulation and to discuss the many advantages of a career in our modern Global Air Force. “The Air force has a « large investment in the. training of these men,” said Sgt. Greathouse. "Their technical skills and knowledge are needed, and we can now goffer many of them special consideration on re-enlistment.”

The Flint Hill P. T. A. meeting for April will be held on Tuesday evening at 7 o’clock, an early hour, so that people may attend the revival meeting starting at 7:45 at the Baptist church.
