The Washington Monarchs were defeated Sunday by the Bridgewater nine 4-3. This Sunday at 2:30 the Monarchs will meet the St. Louis Tigers.
Miss Sandra Jordan of New York spent her summer vacation with her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. James Jordan of Flint Hill. She was accompanied back by her aunt Ethel, Tuesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Randolph Deans of New York were visiting her sister of Flint Hill. Mrs. Margaret Jordan and Mrs. Amanda Champ. Mrs. Roberta Allsbury of Strasburg returned back with Mr. and Mrs. Deans.
Miss Loretta Graves of Reading, Pa. visited Irmasheen Jordan for two weeks.
Guests of Mr. arfd Mrs. Wilbur Fletcher for several days were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Oliver, Miss Elaabeth Fletcher, Mrs. .Hannah Jennings, all from Philadelphia. They were also callers at Mr.„and Mrs. Webster Fletcher’s and Mrs. Louise Fletcher. Mrs. Webster Fletcher just returned home from having a minor operation at the Warren Memorial Hospital. She is recovering nicely.
Mrs. R. Russell and Mrs. Fannie Jackson spent Tuesday in Charlottesville.
