were 50 cents lower last week at $19.50 to $23, with lower grades off50 cents to $1.50. Good grade steers brought $15 to $19.50.
With pork and broilers in
heavy supply, there is little chance of better prices for lower grade steers.
Cow prices however have started their seasonal rise. Dairymen might profit by culling herds after the base making period.
