His passing is a deep loss to the community where he! and his family made their home. The brave and never-faltering! cheerfulness in his final illness brought him even closer to the heart of his many friends. i
Final rites will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2:30 from, the home. Burial will be in Washington Masonic Cemetery. The family has requested no flowers.

J. Earl Atkins, grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas F. Atkins of Sperryville, was recently promoted to district manager of the Chseterfield District, Richmond,' of the United Insurance Company of America.
Mr. Atkins, an emiployee 10# United Insurance for five yean,' is a former superintendent of the company. He and his family make their home in Richmond.
A native of Rappahannock, Mr. Atkins, made his home, 4s a youth with his grandparents, in Sperryville.
