As to economies m the handling of the mails, the complaints reaching me indicate that many of these savings are small in dollar amount, but involve substantial reductions in postal service in small communities and rural areas.
Taxpayers resent, very proprly, waste in any governmental operations. I believe they feel even more strongly, however, their objections to subsidizing functions from which they do not benefit, such as the transportation of junk mail. ,j

The 4-H Night club met in the home of Mias Jean Lillard Monday night, with eight members present and two adult leaders. Miss Paula Miller, president, opened the meeting and Jean Lillard led in the devotions, in the 'absence of the regular devotions leader. Since the weather was so icy and the roads dangerous for travel, the meeting was adjourned after the hostess Mrs. Canon Lillard served refreshments. Miss Doris Ann Atkins invited the group to meet with, her next month.
