H D. Club Meets With
Mrs. J. ik. Ldllard
The Washington Home Demonstration Club' held its June meeting at the home of Mrs. J. M. Lillard with about twenty members present. »
Supper, consisting of barbecue chicken, baked potatoes, corn on the cob, salad, hot bread and dessert was prepared in the open and served.
“Baking ovens” and “broilers” were improvised showing just what can be done with simple equipment.
The food was perfectly prepared and declared by all to be the most delicious. Mrs. G. W. Powers, H. D. agent gave her receipts with full directions.
Mrs. Jessie Rosyzie president, conducted the business session, and Mrs. C. R. Racer gave a most interesting report of the District meeting in Warrenton.
The entire demonstration was carried out with the greatest ease, and that* portion of the Home makers’ Creed, which says, “Study the best ways to do every day work that we may find joy in common tasks well done," was well illustrated. Everybody bad a .good time. ‘ ' v
