At Flint HOI School

Commencement exercises for Pint Hill Elementary school wers held at the school, Wednesday evening, May 30 at 7:30. Grades six and seven opened the program with a song. The Home Port. Louis Moore, one of the graduates, read the Scripture from the Prdverbs after which the Rev. John Divers led in Prayer. Shirley Corbin read the Class History and Marvin. Edgar Browning recited the Class Prophecy. After two' folk songs, Wee Cooper of Fyfe and Marianina by the chorus, Mrs. Leslie Pox Keyser made the address of the evening. Awards and diplomas were presented by G. W. Smith, Chairman of the School Board.
Those graduating were Edgar Browning, Marvin Bradford, Shirley Corbin, Louis Moore, Robert Moore, Mary Frances Pullen, Richard Lee Belch, Jeanetta Lillard, Charles Browning, Macie Lilly, Mary Ellen Williams, Thomas Williams, and Robert Williams. These pupils will enter Rappahannock County High School in September.
Gold Star Pive-Pointer Certificates were awarded to Edgar Browning, who has been a Gold Star winner for seven years; Marvin Bradford, Louis Moore, Jeanetta Lillard, Charles Bowling and Shirley Corbin.
Those with perfect attendance records in the class were Jeanetta lillard, Louis Moore and Robert Moore. '
The program was closed with a song by the chorus, the last stansa of The Home Port.
