Mr. and Mrs. J. Rodes Brown Jr. and family of Charlottesville were guests over the week end of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Rodes Sr. at “Rock Villa”. Mrs. Brown has with her this week her grandson, Steve Brown of Leesburg. ’ *
Mrs. Mary G. Thornhill who spent several days last week* with Mrs. J. Rodes Brown left Sunday for her home in Glasgow.
Mrs. Joseph B. Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. C. N. Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. B. A Johnson were dinner guests on Thursday evening of their sister-in-law Mrs. Scott Johnson in Culpeper. Mrs. W. B. Wake and son. Chappie of Amburg are spending this week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. V. Chapman. The Rev. and Mrs. Watkins who accompanied her, were overnight guests Monday of the Chapmans. Tuesday they attended the annual Conference of the Methodist Church in Harrisonburg.
Mrs. Catherine Brown and her daughter, Miss Shirley Brown were dinner guests Sunday evening of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Roy White in Winchester.
Peachy Lyne was a week end guest of Dolly Smith.
Major and Mrs. H. W. Gaynor and their sons, of Falls Church were week end guests of her parents Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Dwyer.
Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Shade and family and Miss Ruby Dwyer were weekend guests of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. M. Dwyer who also had as their guests' during the past week, Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Dennis of Castleton their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Anderson.
J. T. Dwyer Sr. is a patient in the Newton Baker Hospital in Martinsburg W. Va. for a check up.
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Johnson who spent the week end at the Lee Highway Hotel, left on Monday for their home in Baltimore, Md.
Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Johnson, thei r guests, M r. and Mr s. Chauncey Johnson, Mr. ar\d Mrs. Bertram Johnson of Ohio, spent Wednesday in Alexandria. The Johnsons who spent a week with their brother and sister-inlaw left Friday for their respective homes in Tipp City,. Ohio and Covington, Ohio.
