Miss Lelia Gentry, student at V. P. I, arrived at her home Friday evening. She will remain for a week and then go to Camp Nimrod, Bath County, where she will be employed for the summer.
Mrs. M. R. Bradford Sr. is visiting her daughter, Mrs. Wilbur Davis and family in Arlington. The Davis family were Mrs. Bradford’s Sunday guests.
Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Lillard of Gainsville were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Carson Lillard and family Sunday.
The Rev. As D. Good son announced that a few men of the Methodist Church have been helping at the new parsonage building, but that some had failed to appear as promised, and asked that they do so as soon as possible. The basement is well undar way, with Golden Sealock, Chester Gip, doing much of the block laying, helped by Robert Nethers, H. S. Barksdale, Edward Frazier of Washington as well as others.
Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. James M. Settle were Mr. and Mrs. C. P. Amory of Warwick, Va. and Mrs. Warren Eastham of Shadyside, Md. They also visited Miss Kate Walker in Washington, Va.
Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Gentry had as their Saturday dinner guests Mr. and Mrs. Wiley A. Gentry and sons of Manassas. Their Sunday guests were M rs. W. E. Anderson, Mrs. Reed Slaughter, Mr. T. E. Anderson and Miss Joanna Corsack of Wasrington, D. C.
The Rev. and Mrs. M. C. Cook of Lovingston, Va. were Sunday night guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Cook. Their children, Rick and Linda will be guests of their grandparents while Mr. and Mrs. Cook attend the Annual Conference in Harrisonburg.
