The official board of the Methodist church met for the January meeting in the home of Mrs. W. A. Gentry Friday evening, with ten members present. They ac- cepted the budget for the current year as presented by the pastor, the Rev..'A. D. Gnodson. Arrangements were'made to distribute the new offering envelopes to the congregation. It was agreed to hold a revival meeting during the week of‘March 24 to March 31. and to ask the Rev. Horiaker of Arlington to .conduct the services.
Miss Alma Ricketts is recovering satisfactorily from surgery per-formed Thursday in Warren Memorial Hospital. She has been a patient there for six weeks. ,
Dr. and Mrs. Roswell Rowerjpett and daughter of Laurel, Md, were guests of Mr. and .Mrs. James M. Settle last week. Mrs. K. . Frazer of Toronto. Canada is house guest of Mr. and Mrs. Randolph Foster. Mrs. Frazer visits her mother. Mrs. Emma Rosengarten in the Warren Memorial Hospital each day.
Judy Lillard was organist for one hymn at the church school service at the Methodist Church Sunday morning. She is the pupil of Mrs. John Derting and has studied piano for about six months.
