Bov Scouts of Troop 36 were honored at a special service at the Methodist Church Sunday morning. The Rev. A. D. Goodson spoke to parents and others interested in youth and asked them to take responsibility Jor the boys activities. Scoutmaster Paul Nichols gave awards to Arthur Smoot. Louis Miller, Richard Belch, Marvin Bradford for their work and having completed requirements. Charles Brady and Tommy Carpenter read the scriptures and responsive readings. Marlin Clatterbuck and Charles Smith took up the offering. The MYF choir sang a special seection to compliment the theme of the service, .celebrating 47 years of Scouting in the U. S.. Sponsor of the Troop is the Men’s Bible Class of the.church.
Mr. apd Mrs. G. W. Powers went to Shepherdstown W. Va. to visit Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Fuss, and to Rockland to visit Mr. Powers’ mother Sunday. _

Mrs. G. W. Powers, Mrs. W. A. Gentrv, Miss Paula Miller, Mi<« Eleanor Atkins and Ivory Atkins attended the 4-H Honor club meeting in Washington Monday evening. The date, April 26 was set for the annual Honor club banquet and initiation of new members. The club will print a Yearbook for use of all 4-H members this spring. Only members with outstanding records in leadership and project work are admitted to the dub, arid All Stars are chosen from its membership only. It is considered an honor to be chosen as a member.
