Friends and neighbors in the community extend sympathy to Oscar Dodson and family upon the death of his.mother, Mrs. Mary Lou Dodson on Saturday. The Slate Mills Home Demonstration Club met at the home of Mrs. Carter White. Monday evening with seven members and one visitor. Mrs. Elizabeth Powers, H. D. Agent showed interesting slides and gave talks on Furniture Arrangement and Stretching Your Food Budget. Paula Miler of Flint Hill 4-H Club gave an interesting talk on “What 4-H Means To Me”..
Thursday Guests in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Gaines were Mrs. Clyde Hawkins and daughters Charlene and Mrs. Eddie Snowden of Arlington.
Over night guests of Jean Kilby on Saturday was Joyce Burke of Boston.
