Trip to Richmond winners for the Rural lElectrification Congress were Walter B. Kilby and Jean Lillard.

Randall Updike was the blue ribbon winner of the Yorkshire Sear’s Pig Chain. By the way. Randall’s sow farrowed and raised twelve pigs the first time and about three weeks ago she found 15 more.

Glen Updike’s Poland China cross hogs placed third at the Orange Area Hog Show and Sale, the hottest junion hog show in the state.

Eddie Sutphin and his home grown Angus steer, teamed up to make a winning combination at the Front Royal Baby Beef Show and Sale Eddie’s baby beef was the champion angus.

Rappahannock's youthful 4-H sheepman have acquired the reputation of being some one to ‘reckon with’ at the Winchester Spring: Fat Lamb Shows. Our good Page county neighbors from across the mounttain were deflated a little, when they saw the judge award the purple ribbon to Glen Updike for his Grand Champion Fat Lamb. Other Rappahannock 4-Her's who brought home their share of ribbons were Updike brothers. Jack Sisk and David Lvne.
