Of Brush Buring Law
Fire Warden Raymond Johnson states the 4 o’clock Brush Burning; Law is now in effect in all sections of Virginia.- Setting fire to brush, grass, leaves, trash and other inflammable material within 300 feet of any woodland or brush land is illegal except between the hours of 4 P. M. and midnight. Violations are punishable by fines from $10 to $100 and if a forest fire results, the violator is further liable for the costs involved in supressing the fire.
