Mr. James W. Lillard is recovering from his recent illness and is staying with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Nethers. •Mrs. Carson Lillard was hostess for the Home Demonstration Club Tuesday evening. Mrs. John Derting was elected secretary to finish the unexpired term of Miss Ruth Stevens who was unable to continue. Plans Were discussed for the trip the club members take each year. The group will probably go to Williamsburg and Jamestown this year. Mrs. Powers showed a strip film on stretching the food dollar, and showed how to arrange furniture in the living room.
Mrs. James Day and Miss Nancy Beahr of Richmond were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Cook.

Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Hawkins entered Sunday with a birthday dinner. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Tom Hawkins and granddaughter Patsy' of Alexandria, Mr. and Mrs. Walker Bennett of Front Royal, Mr. and Mrs. Franglin Hawkins of Arlington, Sgt. Charles Henry Brown of Sperryville and Mrs. Jonas Alther Jr.
Mrs. Lillie Gore, Mrs. C. G. Reid and Mrs. Downing Wood spent Monday in Washington, D. C. They also visited Mrs. Woods daughter, Frances, who is a student at Miss Loarl’s School in Silver Spring, Maryland.
Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Hall had with them for the week end at Rose Hill, Mrs. Hall’s sister, Mrs. Ethel Tolend of Havmarket and her daughter. Miss Virginia Kuhn of Washington, D. C.
Mr. and Mrs. Herman Ycaguer of Berryville, Va. were guests Saturday of Mrs. W. F. Moffett Sr. Mr. and Mrs. Yeaguer form
