Ernest Alb< rt Compton, son of John Alb rrt Compton and Sarah France? Brown Compton died in Tampa Florida on March 21st in the 8Cfh year of his age.

Mr. Compton, who formerly lived in Big S one Gap, Va., was for many yeans Supt. of Stonega Coke and Cos 1 Co., until illness forced his retirement.

After the < rath of his wife, the former Lura Kiennedy, he went to Floridja and has made his home with h s daughter, Mrs. Stanley Wade.

Before his hHath failed he was active in Civi: and Church affairs. Was Sup:, of Sunday School and taught a large Men's Class in the Method i it Church of which hP was a devoicd member.

He is survived by two daughters. Mrs. Ciscal Elliott and Mrs. Stanley Wade and two grandsons. Our sister survives. .’5iss Margaret A. Compton of Washington, V i.

A funeral strvice was held in Tampa, Fla., >n Friday March 22 at 2:00 p.m. Burial was at Big Stone Gap by ehtsisde of his wife oil March 24th.
