County Planning
Meeting Held
Home Demonstration County planning meeting was hed March 27, and a great deal of work was lined up for the year. Mrs. Betty Coates, was named chairman ofj the Achievement Day committee, with club presidents as members of the group. They will set the time and place of Achievement Day.
Mrs. D. D. Miller is chairman of the tea to be given for senior girls and boys at the high school this spring. There will be a speaker on some vocation. Mrs. Miller is also chairman for a tea to be given the teachers of the county in the fall.
Mrs. Wallace Critzer, Jr.. Mrs. Paul Miller, Mrs. Powers and Mrs. Gentry will work toward a guidance program in the high school, when speakers will address the students on various fields of work, telling what each requires and what rewards are to ■be found in them. This will start in the fall.
A square dance was chosen as a money making project, with Mrs. Frank Cary as chairman. This will probably be held in Flint Hill fire hall late in April, and each club will be expected to furnish food to sell.
Virginia Federation cook books will be on sale all through the * county clubs this summer and 45 cents wil be realized from each book sold. The price is $2.00. This book will be revised this year or next and if you have any unusual recipes not already found in it. send to Mrs. Powers please.
