The committee had previously sought the advice of Captain William Weiner who had generously offered his help if enough genuine interest in the event could be generated in the Count)-. He was most helpful in answering questions concrning rules of the contest, horses suitable for a tournament track etc.
After much discussion and a “reminissing session” of the good old tournament days in Rappahannock. it was decided that there were not enough knights and tournament horses in the county, and not enough genuine interest to justify the effort. The committee wishes to thank Captain Weiner for his interest and practical suggestions.
