Killed Instatly
In Amissville
Mrs. Helen Lambert Freeman age 23 of Gary, West Virginia was instantly killed when the car in which she was riding with her brother, Clarence Anderson Lambert, of Fort Meade, Md., ran off thc road and hit a culvert. Mr. Lambert and three women who were in the car were injured. They were all treated at Warrenton Hospital. Later Pvt. Lambert was taken to Fort Belvoir, the others to Anderson’s Clinic and Alexandria Hospital. The accident occurred on Route 211 in Amissvifle, Va , across from the Baptist Parsonage on April 22 at 1:50 a.m.
Tractor Injures
Teen Age Girl
Marjorie Settle, 14 year old daughter of Mrs. Robejt Settle of Amissville, was severely injured Saturday afternoon when she was struck by a tractor and disc harrow ,on which she had been riding with her brother Bea Settle.
After getting off the tractor the disc knocked Marjorie down and ran over her. !Her pelvis bone was broken in seven places.
She was rushed to Anderson Clinic in Arlington where she will have to remain for three weeks. Her condition is reported as being satisfactory.
