Madison County Day

May 11th

THc program 'for Madison County Day, May 11th, is nearing completion. So far, approximately 30 free prizzes and individual medals will be awarded for events ranging from a baby parade through a tract meet, and for a rapid succession of side attractions including a hog calling contest, old time fiddling contest, variety races and 10 fun events that will, among other things, award recognition to the man with the largest waistline.

The program ' includes something for everybody, the very young and the very old, and from the serious-minded to those who come for a hearty laugh. Exhibits, embracing the finest and most modern farm equipment, merchandise of various local and nearby business firms, and booths supported by Madison County’s many clubs and public agencies, will offer a comprehensive picture of local interests. Grounds will be open all day beginning at 10:00 A.M. and into the night when Madison’s beauty queen will be crowned and a handsome Chevrolet station wagon will be awarded Luncheon and supper will be served on the grounds.

Proceeds .will be divided between the four sponsors, Madison’s Volunteer Fire Dept. American I^egion. Recreation Center, and the Hand Fund.
